U-CERA is a high abrasion resistant material made with alumina or silicon nitride. The durability is ten to fifty times higher than high speed steel. Applied for mechanical parts, wear lining for blade of duct fun, cyclone, pump and slide disc valve, etc. Available for complex shapes.

The friction material was developed by taking the composite technique of metal and ceramics. It has epoch-making wear resistance and stability of coefficient of friction from low to high temperature up to 600ºC. It does not attack the brake disc or wheel.

C/C composite is complex material of carbon fiber and carbon matrix. Applied for various advanced materials for ultra high temperature furnace, hot press dies, heater, kiln furniture, brake disc, etc.

Special hollow shaped ceramic chips well grasped and adhered to rubber belt. Solved all high abrasion problems of conveyer belt. Applied for moving sintered iron-ores, cokes, cement, coal, foundry sand, etc. Wear resistant liner for hopper and various impinging abrasion areas.

High temperature strength, high thermal and electrical conductivity, high thermal shock resistance, erosion/corrosion resistance against molten steel. Applied for thermocouple tube of molten steel and high reductive furnace, molten metal stirrer, nozzle for gas bubbling. The probes for continuous or intermittent measurement of molten steel (1600ºC) are protected with Mo-ZrO2. They do not require preheating.
To satisfy user's demand, the temperature measuring system can combine a large display unit, a printer, an automatic immersion machine and a wireless transmission system.

TYK has developed the special kiln which carbonizes organic waste sludge such as dehydrated cake of waste sludge from municipal sewage treatment plant. The kiln is a rotary type which produces activated carbonaceous material continuously and uses its own gas for heating energy. TYK has made useful materials from the organic waste and resource recycling, replacing landfill or incineration.

TYK has developed heat resistant mechanical materials:
• Silicon Nitride, SiAlON, Aluminum Nitride, Boron Nitride:
  Various non-oxide ceramics such as Si3N4, SiAlON, AlN, BN which have excellent characteristics of heat shock resistance, wear resistance, abrasion/corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. Applied for break ring, skid button, thermocouple tube, nozzle, roller, liner tile and plate, mechanical parts for automobile, gasturbine, etc.

• Graphite sheet and gasket material, TYREX-SHEET:
  Sheet and gasket are formed of high purity natural flake of graphite without any binder and additive by special method. Applied for high temperature gasket of pump, valve and pipe. Superior durability is gained in high and low temperature, chemical corrosive sealing compared with current asbestos and synthetic resin sheet.

NOTORP is an innovative hydrogen concentration analyzer designed for the production of molten aluminum alloys. Hydrogen/steam sensor of proton conductive ceramics based on CaZrInO3 is applied for measuring content of hydrogen/steam in high temperature gas atmosphere, molten Al and Cu, for fuel combustion control, warning sensor of hydrogen/steam explosion.

Preformed sleeve refractories lining for induction furnace. SiO2, Al2O3, MgO, Spinel, SiC, Zircon are used. Reduced lining time and cost, longer durability, elimination of dirty work.

TYK has developed a deodorizer for machining oil. The deterioration of coolant by bacteria emits a peculiar odor and affects the coolant properties. Coolant life is increased dramatically with use of oil attacker.

Trihalomethanes and residual chlorine are eliminated with extra high level of performance for a very long useful life. PUREAR K maintains adsorption at high water temperatures.

Metal matrix composite of SiC powder reinforced Al alloy has excellent characteristics of high strength, high temperature strength, high elastic modulus, superior wear resistance and low thermal expansion.
Available for extrusion, forging, rolling and die casting. Applied for automobile, aerospace and bike parts.

High temperature heat resistance, volume stability, high temperature strength, good electrical and heat conductivity, chemical stability and light weight. Excellent and different properties from metal and ceramic materials.

Al2TiO5 which is the only compound of Al2O3 and TiO2 has excellent thermal shock resistance due to the very low thermal expansion ratio derived from its special microcrack structure. Therefore it is possible to apply this material to severe thermal cycling conditions where alumina ceramics can not be used.
ALT can be applied to many areas as a material of high refractoriness and high thermal shock resistance.

Titanium ceramics composite applied for die-cast machine shot sleeve has high erosion/corrosion resistance against molten Al, good heat insulation by low thermal conductivity, high temperature abrasion resistance. Over ten times higher durability compared with conventional SKD steel.

High hardness, high melting point, high erosion resistance and electrical conductivity. Abrasion resistant wear lining, tool, roller, die, crucible, etc.

Partially stabilized zirconia with high fracture toughness has good characteristic of non-rusting, electric and magnetic insulation and high durability. Various applications such as industrial cutting tools, dies, washers and setters for dieletric ceramics.

Resources utilization services:
In order to effectively utilize various industrial byproducts before only disposed of because of the lack of technology for reuse, TYK's Resources Utilization Services Division is now heavily involved in researching and marketing recycled materials. Included in the products we recycle are blast furnace flue dust, which we sell to cement making industry, and sludges from surface treatment of metals processes which are sold to refractory raw materials suppliers.
